Editor Locale Manager (Zotero Plugin)
Editor Locale Manager is a powerful plugin for Zotero 7, 8, and 9 that allows you to easily manage, edit, and merge Publisher and Place fields across your entire library in bulk. If your library has accumulated inconsistent publisher names over the years (e.g., “ACM”, “ACM Press”, “Assoc. for Computing Machinery”) or missing location data, this plugin provides a clean, unified interface to clean them up in seconds.
Features
- Bulk Editing: View all unique publishers and their frequencies in one comprehensive list. Edit publisher names and places directly from the table.
- Smart Merging: Select multiple duplicate publishers and merge them into a single, canonical name with one click.
- Intelligent Place Suggestions: When merging, a custom dropdown automatically aggregates and suggests all the existing locations (“places”) associated with the selected publishers.
- Native Integration: Seamlessly integrates with Zotero’s UI, fully supporting Zotero’s Dark and Light modes.
- Lightning Fast: Uses Zotero’s native internal search engine (
Zotero.Search) to scan and filter thousands of items in milliseconds. - Zotero 9 Ready: Built from the ground up to support the sandboxed UI architecture of the latest Firefox 128 / Zotero 9 engine.
